Thieves Household Cleaner | is it really what it's claimed to be?
Once upon a time,
I had a chemical cleaner for all the things. Toilet, shower, sink, counter top, oven, windows, floors, sanitizer…all the things. The cleaners we were using from the grocery store worked, but to be honest, they burnt my nose and I hated wearing rubber gloves when cleaning. Can I be real for a quick sec?
If you have to hold your breath or wear gloves to protect your skin while using a cleaning product, it’s a good indication that you probably shouldn’t be using that cleaner.
Do me a favor. Go look on the back of your chemical cleaner from the grocery store. Do you see the word “fragrance” listed? Go ahead and google “dangers of fragrance”. The results are alarming. Fragrance is a cocktail of hundreds of harsh chemicals mixed together to cover up the chemical scent. Why do companies not have to list which harmful chemicals they use in their “fragrance”? It’s a loophole. Fragrance is “trademarked” per company, “fragrance” becomes a trade secret and the word simply is used as an umbrella term. And what we don’t know can’t hurt us, right?
Wrong.
Think about it. Statistics show that breast cancer in women are on the rise, and higher in women who use harsh chemical cleaners on a regular basis. “House proud women with spotless bathrooms could be twice as likely to get breast cancer,” reported The Sun . Store bought harsh chemical cleaners are polluting homes and bodies! Read about it at EWG’s Healthy Living Home Guide. When you use a cleaner everyone in your home is inhaling the cleaner, or touching it when they walk barefoot on your floors or bathe in the bathtub after it’s cleaned. As a mama to four children, I knew I had to make a change. So I did, and I never looked back. Thieves household cleaner and I are besties.
It’s ONE cleaner for all the things. It’s not a joke. Thieves Household Cleaner actually works, and I was able to break up with those other harsh chemical cleaners #byefeliciabye. I now have more cabinet space because I LITERALLY use one cleaner for all the things. It doesn’t burn my nose hairs, I don’t have to wear gloves, it’s safe to inhale, and THERE IS NO “call posion control center” warning on the back. Why? Because it’s made from plants AND its effective. Thieves Household Cleaner is extremely concentrated, therefore it lasts for months and can be diluted to either lightly clean (like mirrors) or heavy degrease (ovens, tools, rusty showers/toilets).

We would typically get Clorox spray which was around $2.99 for a 32 oz bottle.
Thieves is $28.95 (or $22 if you’re a wholesale member) for a 14.4 fl oz bottle. There is a larger bottle option as well.
You use a capful of the Thieves Household Cleaner solution and 2-3 cups of water to make one bottle of cleaner. Now to make a bottle equivalent to 32oz you would need to do 2 capfuls of Thieves cleaner.
There are 60-65 capfuls of thieves cleaner according to Young Living.
So……
I could make thirty 32oz bottles of thieves cleaner for $24.34 (this includes tax)
VS
$89.70 for thirty bottles of clorox cleaner.
Whats that break down to per bottle? (Using member prices $22)
Thieves cleaner (32oz bottle comparison) $.81 per bottle
VS
Clorox cleaner (32 oz bottle) $3.25 (thats including tax)
Even cheaper than couponing! You just can’t beat that. And, the cleaner smells like Fall! No joke, it smells fantastic! The ingredients consist of Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus, Lemon and Rosemary. You don’t have to worry if your kids get ahold of it. You don’t have to worry if it touches your skin. It actually works. It cleans. It sanitizes. It does all the things for less than half the cost and it keeps the only body you have in tip top shape.
