Hey there! I am so excited for your True You Session!! Please read the following, and refer back to this as often as necessary in preparation.
If you’ve never done a boudoir photo shoot before, it can be a little bit intimidating. A boudoir shoot can be such a fun, empowering, transformative experience. But it’s also intimate, requiring a lot of vulnerability and trust (both in yourself and in me, your photographer).
Several years ago when I named my boudior sessions “True You”, this is what I had in mind:
for your true feminine nature to shine
for your body to be looked at as something beautiful and cherished
for you to feel confident and powerful in how you were created: your shape, curves, stretch marks, height…all of you.
for you to feel like your true self
As women, our bodies change so much throughout the years, and sometimes we lose touch with how beautiful we truly are. It is my hope that during these sessions you feel confident and beautiful…and leave feeling so good about yourself, even through the jitters, lol! I promise, I will walk you through each pose step by step so you are never left feeling awkward, basically, I got you!
DAY OF SESSION:
bring water for yourself
wear your favorite scent or bring it, scent does happy things to our brain!
sometimes it’s easiest for clients to put everything in a laundry basket and bring to session
come with hair and make up complete
WHAT TO WEAR:
we can discuss one on one, as stated in form below or you are more than welcome to prepare outfits on your own. Here are my suggestions:
wear what you feel good in
sexy & feminine can be simple: jeans and bra, his shirt and undies, boxers and bra, lingerie, nighties, little black dresses
heels are optional but can add in a fun twist, I always suggest bringing a pair and if can throw ‘em in if we want to!
bring up to 3 outfits, you're 100% welcome to bring more just in case we decide to throw something in last minute or mix and match.
don’t forget accessories (jewelry, scarves, hats).
LOCATION:
I will send you the address via email prior to your session, but know the arbnb is downtown Columbia City across from the courthouse. There is a flight of stairs up to the room. I have back to back sessions all day, if door is closed have a seat in the hall until I come out and get ya.
DURING SESSION:
sessions are fast pace, but chill. We have fun, laugh, and I’ll even have some complimentary bubbly and chocolate if you need some for your nerves.
some of the poses may feel awkward in the sense that you don’t hold your body in those positions. It’s important you trust me and the process. Speak up during your session if you have ideas or “don’ts”.
POST SHOOT:
I will have the images edited, airbrushed, and your gallery completed within a 2 ish week time frame. If you are also purchasing an album, please add 1-2 weeks for creation.
I will not share any images from your session on my website or social media without permission.
The form below will help us both prepare for your session. Some of these questions will have you digging deep a bit and perhaps having a lovely little moment of self reflection. :)
